Sri Aurobindo Foundation for Integral Transformation SAFIT

Founding Story

The National Association for Professionals and Skill Certification Council (NAPSCC) is a purpose-driven non-governmental organisation dedicated to the empowerment of women and youth through vocational education, skill development, professional certification, sustainable livelihood creation, and lifelong mentoring. Guided by the values of Educate, Encourage, Embrace, Empower, Empathy, Evolve, and Excellence, our work seeks to build not only employable professionals, but responsible and conscious contributors to society.

We believe that the true measure of development lies beyond technical competence alone. Sustainable progress emerges when skills are integrated with values, purpose, and inner awareness. In this spirit, NAPSCC recognises Integral Transformation as the core principle of human development—where the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of the individual evolve in harmony.

This vision is deeply inspired by the philosophy of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, who envisioned human growth as an ongoing evolutionary journey of consciousness. Their teachings affirm that professional excellence and inner transformation are not separate pursuits, but complementary dimensions of a fulfilled and meaningful life.

To give institutional form to this vision, the Sri Aurobindo Foundation for Integral Transformation (SAFIT) was established as a living and evolving initiative of NAPSCC. SAFIT emerged from a collective aspiration to address the fragmentation seen in modern education, wellbeing, and development systems. Rooted in the principles of Integral Yoga, the Foundation offers holistic, consciousness-based approaches that integrate personal growth with professional capability. It remains responsive to contemporary social and economic needs while being anchored in a long-term evolutionary and ethical purpose.

Together, NAPSCC and SAFIT work towards nurturing competent professionals who are also conscious human beings—individuals equipped not only to earn livelihoods, but to lead with integrity, empathy, responsibility, and lifelong commitment to learning and service.

As Sri Aurobindo reminds us:

“All life is Yoga.”

And The Mother affirms:

“True education is that which prepares the being for a higher consciousness and a greater life.”

Guided by this enduring wisdom, we strive to contribute to a future where human development is integral, inclusive, and transformative, and where professional success is aligned with the evolution of consciousness and the greater good of society.
